Mind-Body Connection/Communication/Anger Management/Balance
"There is a secret love hiding in each problem."
As a somatic psychotherapist, I work with individuals on overcoming loss and grief, depression and anxiety, and anger; resolving attachment and relationship issues and trauma; resourcing the self; and as a gentle guide to the soul for those simply seeking a place to contemplate, stretch, and grow.
Our work together will consider the whole self—including the psychological, embodied, intellectual, remembered/narrative, and emotional aspects of your being. In addition, we'll view your life and how you operate within a set of larger systems that may include family, work, community, place of worship, society, and biosphere.
My training in holistic counseling psychology includes Psycho-Physical Therapy, Hakomi, and Formative Psychology at the Center for Energetic Studies in addition to a focus on the work of Carl Rogers (relational therapy) and Dr. Sue Johnson (Emotionally Focused Therapy).
